ST. DIMMAN OR DIOMAN.
AT this date, the Martyrology of Tallagh enters the name Dimman, as having been venerated. The Calendarist O'Clery states he was a Priest. One of St. Patrick's churches, in the territory of Dalriadia, was called Fothrath. This he committed to the care of two disciples, viz.: Cathbad, a priest, and Diman, a monk. Colgan thinks the latter may possibly be identified with the present St. Dimman or Dioman. In the Martyrology of Donegal, at June 27th, he is noticed as Dioman, a Priest.
